    Shui Jin Gui
水金龟 Shui Jin Gui or "golden water turtle" oolong is one of the four famous yancha varietals from Wuyishan. This tea offers a delightful fruity aroma of dried pear & lychees, with just a hint of sweet citrus rind & charcoal left in the empty cup. The wet leaves are musky with warming spice (clove, cinnamon, star anise) & dry bark notes. The liquor is gold with a tinge of rose. Pleasantly warming, the mouthfeel is silky smooth, with an underlying yancha minerality and some fruit biscuit. Made in May 2012 by Mr. Yu's award winning Wuyi yancha factory.

    Oriental Beauty
Our Oriental Beauty (东方美人 Dong Fang Mei Ren) is completely hand picked & hand processed in Hsinchu county, Taiwan. Oriental Beauty is grown at lower elevations of 300-500m and picked in the Summer. The tea is grown organically, as the farmers encourage tiny insects known as tea jassids, to bite the young tea leaves. The plant's reaction to the insect bites results in a distinctively sweet honey flavor with the fragrance of tropical fruit & flowers. Only the young bud & two leaves are picked, and allowed to heavily oxidise whilst withering, before repeated wok-frying by hand. Over 30 different batches of Oriental Beauty were sampled before selecting this tea for your consideration.

    High Mountain Song Zhong
This medium-roast, single-tree, high mountain Song Zhong is the best Fenghuang Dancong we have tasted. Song Zhong (宋种) literally means "Song dynasty varietal" denoting the original trees were planted on Wudong mountain, around 900 years ago. This batch was picked from a single aged tree, and charcoal roasted multiple times. She is complex and multi layered, yet soft, gentle and elegant. Watch out for the sweet aftertaste that lingers on the palate. The intoxicating aroma is vanilla sweet, with a fruity bouquet of mango skins. "A different kind of woman."

    Lishan Tie Guan Yin 2005
This Lishan Tie Guan Yin (梨山鐵觀音) has pungent aromas of ripe fruits & sandalwood that hits the back of the nose. Produced at Lishan Diao Qiao Tou tea farm (梨山吊桥头茶区) in 2005 winter, it is slightly insect-bitten, and yields an orange liquor that tastes of roasted almond, dried lychee and citrus fruits. Withered for a longer time than usual, then roasted according to the Min Nan style (閩南風格), using lower temperature and multiple roasts, this tea was roasted 9 times over charcoal. Relative to other Taiwan oolongs, it is heavily oxidized and heavily roasted. The tight dark balls make a satisfying iron "ping" noise when dropped.
