    Our 2014 Yibang is intensely floral, the empty cup is filled with the aroma of orchids, dried herbs and sweet melon.This tea is so satisfying and easy to drink. It's light and buttery with the taste of nectar throughout. A touch of bitterness on the middle and back of the tongue, evolves to a sweet finish. It just seems to get sweeter with each infusion. The huigan is immediate and fills the nasal passage.

    2014's Wan Gong is honey sweet with an initial flavor of orchids, complex mid palate and finish. The mouthfeel is voloptuously thick and smooth. Even if oversteeped it will not become astringent.     Our first cake of the 2014 Spring harvest. We have "booked" this ancient tea grove to ensure we get the best early spring leaves each year. Nahan is located just above the famous village of Xigui in Bangdong county, Lincang prefecture. Xigui is now the most highly priced puer in history, commanding a massive premium over Lao Ban Zhang and Bingdao. It is 100% gushu, full bodied, punchy and long lasting. Fantastic tea. We recommend tasting together with our 2013 Spring Nahan which is from the same exact tea trees, or our 2012 Spring Bangdong which is a blend of 4 tea gardens in the immediate vicinity of Xi Gui.

    Pasha is the largest ancient tea tree grove in Menghai, growing at high elevation, 1,800m above sea level. This exceptionally tasty cake was produced by our friend Mr. Yu under his private label Che Ma Xuan and is our favorite of his 2011 teas. The aroma from the gaiwan is strong and full, with delicious smoky, roasted almond & barnyard notes, over a base of honey and brown sugar. The tea is full bodied, thick and silky smooth. It tastes nutty, with chestnuts and sunflower seeds, with some bitterness and aged notes giving the tea body. A sweet aftertaste coats the tongue. A very rewarding tea that exemplifies Menghai gushu puer.

Exceptional fragrance of sweet incense, thick and oily mouthfeel, with an aftertaste of melon. Very clean with no harsh bitterness or astringency even if pushed hard. Completely hand picked and hand processed from ancient trees, these cakes were shade dried and stone pressed.
