2019 Premium "Yi Xian Tian" Tie Luo Han

This premium tie luo han is pure "zhengyan", meaning sourced from within the protected wuyishan nature reserve. The dry leaves smell of roasted nuts but the wet leaves smell herbaceous, with a strong hint of fruit. The tea liquor is nutty, mineral and slightly bitter at the back of the tongue. The mouthfeel is thick and malty, charcoal swirls up the inner cheeks. A beautiful floral aroma lingers in the empty cup. One of the best yancha we've ever tasted.

Very good tea!

Review by Yaw SC
The premium TLH is slightly better than Jin Mu Dan in term of smoothness and feeling of pleasant throughout tasting process. The timing of roasting is very accurate and well managed, plus by having good quality tea leaf and process, it totally reveal the character of this tea. Very good tea! Superb Yancha better than anything else I tried

Review by Howard
Wow this is like 5 star Yancha , the mouth feel is like fine silk, layers of sublime mineral, and old rootstock flavor , really masterful roast on this extraordinary tea , worth the price of admission! I want to put a bit away for spring!
I thought Jin Mudan was top dog but after tasting this I think its a toss up and I learn towards Tie Luo Han. (Posted on 1/6/14) (Posted on 8/19/14)

Excellent Yan Cha! You just have to try to believe it.

Review by M Yaw
I have tried almost all of Eugene's Yan Cha and bought a few of them. This yan cha is a stand out. Very reasonably priced. It is on par with the Jing Mu Dan. You just have to try to believe it. (Posted on 2/7/14) (Posted on 8/19/14)

Great Classic Oolong Taste

Review by Evan
In our house we have lots of disagreements on what kind of tea to drink, with the compromise generally coming down to Oolong. I'm not as good as some at verbalizing my tea experiences as some, but this tea's flavor is rich and has a lot of depth, both mineral and earthy tones, basically to me THE flavor I'm looking for in an Oolong. The flavor lasts a long time on the tongue and throat, and you can steep it forever. Highly recommended. (Posted on 2/19/14) (Posted on 8/19/14)
